Job Description:
This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope
Polygraph Clearance. 2HB Incorporated is seeking a Software
Engineer to support its government customer in Herndon, VA. The
ideal candidate will have strong experience with PySpark, and AWS
Services (EMR). Databricks, and Open Delta Format are highly
desired. The Candidate shall provide technical support for the
USG's Data Governance and Data Harmony capabilities. Candidate
support will also include data modeling and conditioning. The
Candidate shall provide Agile program management support in
accordance with USG's development process. While the work will be
performed within a team environment, much of it is independently
executed. The Candidate shall be required to communicate and
collaborate across organizational boundaries, to include other
contractor teams. The Candidate shall be required to work with US
Government (USG) staff and candidate personnel, as well as external
stakeholders. The Candidate shall be required to identify blockers
or dependencies to USG staff and work towards resolution of any
obstacles to providing this support. The Candidate shall provide
all technical operations support for the USG's data governance
tool, which is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product. The
governance tool will provide the USG's organization with a modern
data management platform and replace or interface with existing
data management services and solutions. The system will be based on
the COTS product AXON Data Governance developed by the vendor
Informatica. Axon Data Governance (Axon) is a powerful tool for
describing how, why and where data is used in your organization,
giving much needed context to this activity. Axon facilitates
collaboration between users, who may not always realize how they
depend upon each other or use the same resources. The Candidate
shall maintain the existing tool for production use in accordance
with security requirements and USG's priorities. The Candidate will
continue accreditation work to establish new instances of
governance tools for USG and IC use. The Candidate shall support
enhancement efforts to meet mission needs. The Candidate shall
provide all technical operations, maintenance and development
support for USG's Data Harmony tool, which includes a user
interface and currently one commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)
product. Data Harmony will provide a collaborative working
environment for reconciling and harmonizing Mission Reference Data
and IT metadata from across a multiplicity of the USG's
organization and Intelligence Community (IC) systems and
repositories. Data models of various types will be created and
maintained along with taxonomies and list values reflecting values
from existing systems and repositories. The Candidate shall
maintain existing tools for production use in accordance with
security requirements and USG's priorities. Data Modeling and
Conditioning Support The Candidate shall provide data modeling
subject matter expertise. The Candidate shall create, share and
update data models and data conditioners, as directed by the USG,
using standard Microsoft office tools, as well as the Data Harmony
tools. The Candidate shall create conditioners that transform real
datasets into the data models, as directed by the USG. The
Candidate shall provide technical support for the USG's Data
Governance and Data Harmony capabilities. Contractor support will
also include data modeling and conditioning. The Candidate shall
provide Agile program management support in accordance with USG's
development process. While the work will be performed within a team

Data Governance Tool Support The Contractor shall provide all
technical operations support for the USG's data governance tool,
which is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product. The governance
tool will provide the USG's organization with a modern data
management platform and replace or interface with existing data
management services and solutions. The system will be based on the

depend upon each other or use the same resources. TECHNICAL
REQUIREMENTS The Candidate shall identify optimizations to the
tools and coordinate with Sponsor for prioritization according to
USG's Agile processes. The Candidate shall provide support for
configuration management, deployment packaging, and program
management activities required by USG for developing and delivering
production applications. The Candidate shall attend configuration
management boards or provide written documentation to acquire
deployment authorization according to USG process. The Candidate
shall leverage DevSecOps tools as much as possible to support
automated deployments. The Candidate shall produce a Sprint
Progress Report in USG's format at the end of each Sprint. The
Candidate shall manage prioritized work in JIRA, or other tool,
according to USG's Agile processes. The Candidate shall immediately
communicate risks, dependencies and blockers with USG to remove
obstacles and drive product delivery. This is a full-time position,
and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
